Dental Implants in Brigham City
At Jenson Dental, we provide a number of treatments to enhance your oral health. Our dental implants are a perfect addition to your mouth when you have a missing tooth. Some patients want to know if mini implants or conventional implants are better for their oral health. The basic difference between the implants resides in the function of the implants and the length of wear.
Why Do I Need Conventional Implants?
Dental Implants are used to replace missing teeth or to hold removable dentures in place. Dental implants are made from titanium as it bonds with the jaw bone to provide you with a permanent solution to a missing tooth. Standard dental implants have an external screw that is surgically inserted into the jaw bone. Once the screw bonds with the jaw bone, we will attach the dental crown to the implant. Mini dental implants are slightly different as they have a solid one-piece screw that is less than 3mm in diameter and a ball-shaped end sticks out of the jaw bone. The fabricated tooth has a rubber O ring that fits the implant to the ball.
Which Dental Implant Is Best?
We provide both implant options and they both have their benefits. We do prefer standard implants as they are strong and last for upwards of 40 years. Contact our Brigham City dental office to learn more about conventional dental implants and improve your oral health.
